Frontend developer and UX/UI designer with a background in visual communications. I combine design thinking with development in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP. Most of my experience is in customising, extending and maintaining WordPress sites, and in improving their user experience.
Work experience
Adapting and extending existing code in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP. Optimising pages for mobile, maintaining the WordPress theme and managing multilingual content. Fixing visual and functional bugs, improving the user experience and building responsive HTML email templates.
Creating wireframes and interactive prototypes, and preparing design solutions and specifications for the development team. Working closely with developers to turn designs into functioning, responsive online stores that follow SEO guidelines. Designing web and marketing content, packaging, logos and full brand identities.
Designing the user interface for a cryptocurrency trading platform, with an emphasis on clear information hierarchy and a consistent user experience. Creating the brand identity, web content, social media banners, email templates and documents. Working with the development team to turn designs into a working digital product.
Designing logos, print materials and websites, and preparing print-ready files. Contributing to the development of brand identities, coordinating with clients and delivering projects reliably within agreed deadlines.
Education
For my work on Znam, an app for learning the basics of Slovenian, our team received the University of Ljubljana's Prešeren Award. The app is available on Google Play.
Winner of the ALICE award for the comic Hope for Change.

About me
I trained as a visual communications designer and work as a UX/UI designer and frontend developer. My work brings together an eye for visual detail, an understanding of user experience, and development in HTML, CSS, JavaScript and PHP.
My career has led from illustration and brand identities to online stores, digital products and WordPress development. Today I mostly work on adapting and improving websites, fixing visual and functional issues, and turning design solutions into working interfaces.
